ABOUT GREG

As a 7th generation Texan, Greg has a deep love and appreciation for the Lone Star State.   Greg grew up in rural, West Texas farm country, where he was raised with a strong work ethic, conservative principals, and Christian values.  He earned his Bachelor's of Science in Agriculture, Business, and Economics from West Texas A&M University.  For the next 18 years he worked in sales and management for a steel building company, during which time he earned his Masters of Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.  After graduation from business school, Greg continued his career by working as a Development Officer at Stephen F. Austin State University for 7 years, where he now continues to serve as an adjunct faculty professor in the Nelson Rusche College of Business, teaching Professional and Personal Sales.

Greg has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and owns two businesses, a construction company and an excavating/dirt work company.  In fact, it is through his years in management and business ownership that Greg understands how government overreach stifles innovation and dampens economic success.  Moreover, he has used his conservative principles of budgeting and fiscal restraint to help empower his businesses to succeed and grow.

Greg is happily married to his high school sweetheart, Kristi, and they have four children, ranging in age from 16 to 25 years old. They have been members of Grace Bible Church for over 20 years.
